AI Call Screening for Business

Qualify leads before a human handoff.

RevSystems is an AI phone agent for initial business-call screening. Your business owns the criteria and prepares the next actions, so callers can reach a useful next step and your team can review the outcome.

Focus your intake.

Initial screening helps when new inquiries compete with work already in progress. Entry settings determine when screening begins; a greeting response or relevant request can lead into the same configured criteria. A general office-hours question need not enter qualification. This is business inquiry screening, not consumer spam blocking or outbound cold calling. It does not verify credit, underwrite a loan, or make a professional approval decision.

Applications by industry

These are alternative ways to configure one screening flow for your business, not independent simultaneous flows or an unrestricted routing tree.

Screening establishes initial call fit. It does not determine underwriting or loan approval, case merit or conflict clearance, insurance coverage, or tenant eligibility. Professional decisions, tax advice, and emergency assessment remain with the responsible people and established procedures.

Worked example: initial mortgage-call screening

Illustrative example

A synthetic walkthrough based on the documented mortgage-program recipe. These are example business rules and caller answers, not lending requirements or a real customer result.

  • Screen: a synthetic caller confirms program interest, then reports a purchase, an estimated score meeting the example’s 620 threshold, and plans to begin in 60 days within the 90-day window. No credit check occurs.
  • Result: these self-reported answers meet this example’s three configured criteria. This is initial fit, not mortgage approval.
  • Action: attempt a prepared handoff; if unavailable, use the configured booking or message backup. Inspect the recorded action in Inbox rather than assuming a completed transfer.

Give both results a useful next step.

A qualified result can attempt a prepared live handoff, appointment, or message action. A not-qualified result can still use prepared booking or message taking; live handoff is unavailable for that result. If the primary action is unavailable, the configured order supplies alternatives. The agent tries the first available action and stops after one succeeds. An action does not change the screening result. Review the outcome and backup rules before choosing your order.

Prepare the action before relying on it.

  • Live handoff needs a valid destination, availability, and a fallback plan.
  • Booking needs working availability and confirmed booking controls.
  • Message taking must be saved On in Call Handling → Reception.
  • Each qualification result needs at least one configured action. Recheck both paths when you disable a capability.

Test the difficult calls, too.

  • Clear answers: test a passing path, an early failing answer, and a normal call that should stay outside qualification.
  • Ambiguity: try an uncertain or contradictory answer. Does the recorded result accurately reflect what the caller established?
  • Incomplete calls: end a test before all criteria are answered. What is recorded, and can your team distinguish an incomplete interaction from a completed result?
  • Availability: test an unavailable primary handoff and each prepared backup. Inspect the recorded action instead of assuming completion.

Use the screening test worksheet to separate conversation review from verified action records.

Ask these questions before you choose.

  • Can your team own the criteria and identify exactly which inquiries should enter screening?
  • Can you define useful next steps for both qualified and not-qualified results?
  • Are handoff, booking, and message-taking actions actually ready for the paths you select?
  • Can you test uncertain answers and unavailable actions before launch?
  • Can you inspect the result and the attempted or completed action separately?
